The artistic works of Keith Dòu are lesser known in this time which is a shame. Although many knew him as a great musician, his personal artworks were astounding in their detail and compositional skill. As a person so heavily influenced by his love of the old Maisy cartoons, Dòu would often include allusions to her not only in his music but in these stunning prints scanned over to us by his family.

The ink work is lovingly done and it’s hard to believe it hasn’t faded over the years. Almost as if the spirit of the little Mutt herself has been infused within the lines. His works had a very organic flow to them, utilizing soft shapes to form monstrous creatures. Much like artist Jayne Prell he incorporated hands into his art whenever possible to a stunning effect.
