Beetrice B.E Model Sheet, Unknown Artist

Drawn by an unknown artist at Bartlebee Brands, this is the second drawn image of Beetrice B.E to be created. Although slightly different than the design that would later be used for much of the companies lifespan there are clear similarities between the two. This design drew heavily from other popular cartoons of the time such as Maisy the Mutt. Sadly as mentioned before it is unknown who drew this model sheet for the company. Bartlebee Brands, above all other companies mentioned on this archive, was notorious for not crediting their artists which is why may of our Beetrice related items are listed as being created by an unknown artist. This was probably to keep the identity of the company focused, however this is just speculation on my part. Regardless it’s a sad reality that many brilliant artists behind the companies success will never get their flowers.
