Dorothy Do Intro Tune

The haunting and beautiful theme for the Dorothy Do show, this song was created by Barbara with the help of musician Polly Mill. When asked for her inspiration, Barbara would explain that during her many ocean travels, she had heard a lone sailor singing something similar during one warm foggy morning as she sat on the docks watching him go by. She stated that the song embodied the ocean and life on the sea. That such a small song stuck with her for so many years probably hinted at just how recognizable and long lasting the reinterpreted theme would be for the American viewers of the show.
