Maisy and the Lonely Ghost

This short children’s book detailed Maisy’s adventures on Halloween, and in the story, Maisy encounters a very lonely ghost and chases off some witches who were harassing him. Just like this story, there are recurring instances of Maisy befriending ghosts and other creepy creatures in various media after this, resulting in the common tagline for Maisy, “friend of anyone.” In addition to this, Maisy’s meaner side can be seen in the story, although this personality would be chipped away at overtime.
