Following the success of Maisy the Mutt and Liquid Laff Pictures, the studio outsourced merchandise production to other companies of the time. This resulted in a wide variety of toys, cards, books, and more. Among these trinkets and novelties, the Maisy the Mutt dress-up doll emerged as one of the more successful toys. With a lovable smile and a body so small it could sit comfortably in a cup, this doll charmed children across America. This line sold multiple different outfits, it became a common practice for children and parents to sew custom clothing for it.
