Maisy the Mutt dress-up doll

Following the success of Maisy the mutt and Liquid Laff Pictures the studio outsourced merchandise production to other companies of the time. This resulted in a wide variety of toys, cards, books, and more. Among these trinkets and novelties the Maisy the Mutt dress-up doll emerged as one of the more successful toys of the time. With a lovable smile and a body so small it could sit comfortably in a cup, this doll charmed children across America. This line sold multiple different outfits for children to dress up their dolls however it became a common practice for children and parents to sew custom clothing for the doll.

This photo was sent to us by a generous donor showing off the custom clothing they made for their Maisy the Mutt doll to help them endure the winter months.
