Red Ribbon Club, Jayne Prell

Red Ribbon Club, Jayne Prell, 2024

UPA styled artwork of a tall woman in blue standing in a crowd of frightened red tinted people which taper off into two large ribbons. From behind her suit wearing arms extend to rip the ribbons apart.

Here we can see the progression of Slishy slashers design as she later appeared in the final year of Jayne’s work. She had a far more triangular silhouette with a focused set of design traits that carried from illustration to illustration. This drawing depicts many victims of the Slishy Slashers relationship killing. The way the crowd dwindles into red thread is very striking, and the multitude of faces once again shows off the artists love of detailed images.
