Maisy Painted Pumpkin

This photograph was sent to us by one Lydia Mallory, painted in her youth around the rise of Liquid Laffs place in the animation industry. It was commonplace for those celebrating Halloween to create makeshift costumes and decorations based on characters of the time. This Maisy pumpkin painting is one such example and gives us an insight into the types of unofficial artwork being made back then.
