The Imaginarium
Where the friends who raised us go to rest
Fond memories of playing by the creek with nothing but the figment I’d created for myself. The times when tornado sirens would ring out and I’d hug the empty space in front of me for comfort. The name of my imaginary friend is forgotten to me, and what did they look like? I’ll never know. Memories are fluid and not as concrete as we like to think, and overtime I forgot the details my young mind conjured together to make a forever loyal friend. Yet the feelings and remembrance of activities done together remain. My friend, though imaginary, will always be important to me.
This is why I created the imaginarium, to give a home for imaginary friends so that they may not be forgotten, and that if one day their creator forgets them, others will remember them instead. They’ll be admired, appreciated, and adored. If you would like to submit yours feel free to use the form provided.
Sometimes these imaginary friends have baggage behind them, such as memories of harder times, scarier times, or times you aren’t proud of. If that is the case I will take them for you so you don’t have to remember. They can stay here, safe among the other imaginaries, and be a weight off your heart.
Regardless this is a place of rest for all the imagineers and childhood friends that raised us, please be respectful and walk softly as you read this page.
This page was the collaboration between myself and Belliup, my internet penpal of seven years and a wonderfully talented individual. You can read more about his work over on the About page.

Diamond
"Diamond is a princess who was like a older sister to me. She has the ability to create crystals and gems out of thin air, eat rocks, and can bake anything! Diamond is such a kind and caring individual...but can be a bit clumsy at times. She remains positive no matter what! She was my role model. She's perfect to me. That's why I named her Diamond."
Lovsey
"Lovesy was my little fluffy angel on my shoulder that I (sometimes) listened to. With a quick wit to go with it.
Whenever I needed someone to talk to when no one was there, or someone to share my crazy ideas with, or a shoulder to cry on or a voice of reason, she was there. We went on our own little adventures, made so many friends and created some of our own in my own little world. We experienced the good, bad and confusing moments in life that never quite left that we still carry with us.
I hope she can be the same, sweet but spunky companion to all the other imaginary friends and anyone who passes by. She deserves it. Regardless, she'll always be a part of me and I'll still see her from time to time. That will never change.
Thank you Loves for all the years you stood with me!~"
Luce
"She was my favorite plushie when I was little. The manufacturer gave her the name "Pounce," but I renamed her after my cat Lucy. Why I named her Luce instead of Lucy I'll never know. If she got even a slight bit ruffled, l'd call her "Evil Luce" and get my parents to buy another copy of her. She had an entire family of cat plushies made by the same company, their mother being a larger plushie of Luce I named
"Mama Luce." I still have those plushies and they're stored in my bookshelf inside a flower shaped popcorn bucket. I even still have an Evil Luce (a copy of Luce that's off color and more scrunkly). Fun fact, my mom told me once when I was 6 I had an argument with her and said
"FINE! WE'RE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE!" We still ended up being friends but then I stopped playing with her and her family. I miss those days."
"He was my good luck charm and who I went to when I was feeling anxious. I don't know if you could call him and imaginary friend but he was my friend."
Beaufort
Destiny
"Shes shy :<"
Lola
"Lola was based off a ballerina-bunny stuffed animal I used to have. I added fairy wings to her and a tiara because I wanted to be a fairy princess so badly when I was a kid. I used to talk to her and make up stories with her!"
Desperado Ratty
"I always imagined this little guy running around whatever room I was in and would shot holes into the walls that he would crawl into! I was a weird kid."
Dino
"this is my dino! he was originally a clay figure i had made when i was small, but the figure is now long gone. he has a little bit of 'lore'- he owns an amusement park in a world made out of yarn, and his dream is simply to make everyone smile! even though i don't think of him that much anymore he holds a special place in my heart and i'm very glad i was able to make him."
Null
Narra
"she was an old hybrid OC I made in Gacha Life made manifest. She was with me all throughout elementary school, and I loved her to death. I hope she rests well here."
Kellowy
"My childhood imaginary friend who lived inside cracks and paper corners while I was in school, she helped me learn when my brain would wander too much. I'd rather she live within the cracks of the Imaginarium instead of stuck rotting in my notebook."
Sam
"He was my long lost childhood stuffed animal. I would guess my mom either gave him away to a kid at one of the preschools she worked at or he landed in a goodwill. Honestly, I'm okay with that because deep down I know he probably means the world to someone else too. I still sometimes miss him though. When I imagine him he is like a little angel! His name is very simple because I did not know how to spell as a kid. :( He was always the main character in the stories I made up. I hope this memory of him can find peace here."
Mr. Not-Present
"Mr Not-Present is a person that is present, but is not! You can't see him, but he is there! I can't really draw him, but here! You can have his ever-watchful eye! He is shy, but very caring!"
Thing !!
"This is Thing !! It tries its very best to make everyone happy! It lurks in jungle gyms waiting to give you a big surprise and maybe even teleport you to the next reality over. It also wants your eyes I wonder what thats about"
Jacklyn
Kev
"Kev is a robot with many surprises in and on him. He's a pal to all and will do whatever to save the day!"
Moppy
"According to my mum, my childhood imaginary friend was "an old schoolboy named moppy", i dont exactly have an appearance in mind for what i thought he looked like at the time but i do remember red being a part of it. I think my mum used to be a little freaked out when i said it was a schoolboy, she thought i was seeing ghosts probably."
Shadow
"I didn't really have a long term imaginary friend, per say. I mostly fixated on fictional characters, who I imagined interacting with- and they would come and go. However, I DO remember playing with my shadow! At my elementary school, there were these tall telephone poles that cast their shadows across the field. My childhood best friend and I would make our shadows climb them, up and up and up, and then we'd "jump" off of them and rush back to the base of the pole, falling in a heap! I think I also made friends with my reflection, but that didn't really last long."
Finnegan
"a funky lil centipede guy, i see him in my dreams a lot"
Spots
"She was the sweetest stuffed animal for a lonely child. He was an everyday companion to a kid that didn't know what was wrong with her. Spots was my stuffed animal, a dalmatian, and my little companion for gosh knows how long. She was always a friend played with me during the good and bad of growing up. He distracted me, played every role, and gave me comfort. Whenever I think about her or look at him on my shelf, I remember my childhood wasn't as bad as it could've been. I'd love to preserve her memory here in case I ever forget about him <3. (Using pronouns interchangeably because I could never decide on their gender. Sorry if I got a little too personal there!)"
Dr. Dont "Love him :~)"
Mr. RainbowCoin
"I don't remember much about this guy, the only thing I can remember is his cool astronaut mask, now that he's back in my head I see him as a cool business guy that loves gold coins and rainbows. Please give him a cool home, I didn't use him a lot when I was a child and now he's all alone, I don't want him to be like that, take care of him and he will give you some great deals"
The Twins
"I don't remember much but the Twins were children around my age if not a bit older. I could never see them directly, it was always through the dark, the corner of my eye, reflections-l distinctly remember staring up at them through the water in the bath one night. They whispered comforts to me I can't remember, and made the dark feel less lonely. I still think I see them sometimes, in the corner of my eye."
Handy
"Each finger has a different personality, each of them are mostly the same but like different things! The pointer finger likes baseball, that's why they wear a baseball cap alot of the time! Handy has trouble walking most of the time since they have very skinny and short legs carry such a ginormous body!"
Bingus
"Tongue long"
Smiley
The Kittens
"When I was in kindergarten I wanted to have a cat. My family had only ever had dogs, and I love dogs, but I'd never even pet a cat before. While reading a book filled with cat photos there was one of two Siamese kittens. They were so cute to me, I started imagining them being beside me as I played. They never had names, but they were dear to me."
Mop
He was my best friend when I was a kid! He helped me keep safe and warm as I was terrified of the dark as a kid and always remember him bright and glowing like a light bulb! He was a little mouse because I was jealous of that kid from Stuart Little and wanted a mouse brother... Hope he can look after someone here!
Leo
"Leo is a human (i guess) that has huge hair. He lives on a chocolate house with a lousy neighbor. He has 3 nephews and a girlfriend. (I drew them without color because i never drew them with color only Leo) He is very adventurous and funny."
Heather
Lucky Padd
"Lucky Padd is a Tadpoles who has gotten their legs and is a friend and gardener and is a true friend who will help you do the right thing."
